Vegetable/Macaroni Soup

Ingredients

5 cups water + 5 chicken bouillon cubes
or 5 cups chicken broth
1 pkg dry vegetable soup mix
12 oz Whitney’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix
2 – 1lb cans mixed vegetables, drained
1/2 cup uncooked macaroni
Optional:  add cooked chicken

Directions

Simmer until all dry vegetables and macaroni are cooked (10-15 min)

Awesome Chili

Ingredients

2 lbs hamburger
onions
green peppers
celery
1-2 cans kidney beans
Chili seasoning
1 can whole or diced tomatoes
2 qts Whitney’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix

Directions

Brown hamburger, discard extra grease. Use your favorite chili seasoning packet. Add 2 qts Whitney’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix.  Chop onions, celery, green peppers or whatever you prefer, quantity to your taste add with kidney beans and tomatoes.  Mix and simmer for 1-2 hours for a delicious seasoned chili – If you like it hot add your favorite hot sauce.

Beef Brisket

Ingredients

1 Beef Brisket
Whitney’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix
Favorite BBQ Sauce

Directions

Place brisket in large roaster fat side up.  Mix 1/2 Whitney’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix and 1/2 of BBQ sauce.  Enough to cover brisket halfway up.  Cover tightly with lid or tin foil.  Bake at 350 for 3 hours. Uncover and turn brisket to fat side down.  Bake 30 mins.  If dry when turning – add more BM/BBQ mixture.  Serving suggestions:  slice and serve with Southwest Potatoes or slice and serve on your favorite buns.

Sloppy Joes or BBQ Sandwiches

Directions

Mix up your favorite recipes and instead of using tomato juice or ketchup substitute Whitney’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix for the liquid – adds great flavor and spice.

Stuffed Peppers

Directions

Mix up your stuffed peppers and instead of tomato juice substitute Whitney’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix for a delicious blended flavor and spice.

O’Allies Guinness Irish Stew

Ingredients

2 lbs beef stew meat
red potatoes – leave skins on
carrots – use prepackaged peeled small carrots
med onion – diced med sized
1-2 Tbsp  kitchen bouquet/browning sauce
parsley, thyme, minced garlic, salt and pepper (to taste)
Whitney’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix
2 cups Stout Guinness Beer
tapioca

Directions

Add ingredients to Dutch oven or roaster – pour beer and BM mix over until all meat and veggies are covered.  Add tapioca to thicken (1-2 Tbsp) – use the Minute Maid kind from scratch NOT Jello.  Bake in oven at 300 for 3 hours – or longer at lower temp. Great slow cooker recipe too – 8-9 hours.

BM Meatloaf

Ingredients

2 eggs, beatened
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/2 cup Whitney’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix
1/2 cup finely diced onion
1/4 cup finely diced celery
1/4 cup finely diced green pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped mushrooms
1 can Rotel diced tomatoes
1 t basil
1 t oregano
2 T snipped parsley
1/2 t salt
1/2 t pepper
2 lbs ground sirloin

In mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except sirloin – mix well then add sirloin, mix together until blended.  Pat mixture into a loaf and put in 13x9x2 baking dish.  Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes until no pink remains.

Stuffed Green Pepper Soup

Ingredients

3 lbs ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
4 cups water
5 green bell peppers, cleaned and diced
1/2 bunch celery, chopped
1 28oz can or fresh chopped tomatoes – don’t drain
1/2 cup beef base
2 cups uncooked rice
1-2 bottles Whitney’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix
1/2 t (each) dried sweet basil, oregano, garlic salt, onion salt
1/4 t (each) fresh ground pepper, dry mustard

Directions

In large pot brown beef.  Break up meat as it browns – drain well.  Add remaining ingredients and simmer until rice and vegetables are cooked, about 45 minutes.  After rice swells add more BM for a thinner soup. Makes about 10 servings. Freezes well and is easily made in a slow cooker.
